Hi

restart the J2ee server, bypass any proxies if present and try again.

Hi,

Try these options:

1. Start the engine thru SAP Management Console (SAP MMC). Start -> Programs -> SAP Management Console. Select your SAP System, right-click on it and select Start.

2. Try creating a connection by using "Direct Connection To Dispatcher Node".

Username "Administrator" or "J2EE_ADMIN".

Host: localhost or the hostname/IP.

Port: 5<instanceno>04 (e.g. 51004)

Transport Layer: Default

For Part 1,

check your port no. (50000 or 50100 etc)

Part 2

You may like to create your own connection type (Custom instead of Default).

If still not sure igf you J2ee engine is running. Can you make sure if the J2ee is running o.k?
