NDWS and ESS

Hi,

Can anyone please let me know how to import and customize Businnes Package ESS 60.2 using NDWS.

Hi Muzammil

To customize ESS busines package, firstly you will have to import its .sca file in CMS.

To import this,

1) firstly you will create a domain in landscape configurator

2) download the .sca file of ESS and place it in cms\jtrans\...\inbox\

3) create a software component in the SLD->Software catalog

4) create a track in the domain that you created initially and add the software component to it created in step mentioned above.

5) go to transport studio in CMS, check in the files and then import it.

6) once this import is complete, you will have to do the DTR configuration on your NWDS.

7) After this configuration, you will be able to see the ESS package in your DC perspective or NWDS. And from here you can check it out and work on it.

But importing ESS is not an easy task. It is quite difficult, and requires huge amount of resources in terms of memory and will take many many hours before the import for it gets completed.
