Hi all,
In the case of cross company communication (B2B), we have a very simple payload with headers. We are going ahead with HTTP ADAPTER instead of SOAP. Is it a industy standard to go with SOAP's? My B2B partner is ok with plain HTTP..But in case of security, he would like a a third party certificate instead of SSL.Also I would like to understand basic B2B communication. Would it be encrypted? or if in the case of NO encryption, I can use my firewall for providing network security and go ahead with message level security.
I would appreciate comments on this strategy.

Hi Teresa
In my opinion we use SOAP for security reasons as it comes with the header which you can authenticate on the reciever side. It is not a industry standard but purely depends upon the requirement
I worked on one similar scenario where we implemented Security network by opening ports meaninful to do operation in/out of XI only.
