BASIS Troubleshooting

Hi Experts,

I am facing some issue while starting my SAP Server. I am able to start Message Server but the dispatcher is 'grey'. Can anyone tell me what could be th epossible cause and remedy for this.

Hi sid,

You can get the log of the dispatcer in the location

<drive:/usr/sap<SAPSID>/<INSTANCE>/work

under this location you will get all the logs related to the SAP Work porcess.

Hi,

Just go on dispatcher. right click on dispatcher and provide us developer trace then we can help u better because there are so many reasons so just post the developer trace.

Hi Subhash,

I am working upon 4.7c

When i right click on dispatcher it only gives me "Help" option that eventually opens Windows Help.

Ok, I went in WP Table which is in the hierarchy on the left side.and under Type(UPD, UP2, ENQ, DIA, etc..) all are showing as 'no' under Start column. Also, under "Err" column all of the Typ are '1'.
