What version of 2004s is recommended

At this client, they have/are implementing ERP2005 but only planning on release 6. I thought I had heard at Teched that it was recommended to be at least at sps8.

I hope I have the terminoligy correct.

We are looking at using MDM, XI (PI), Composite Application Builder, Visual Composer, Java Development, Web Dynpro (ABAP or JAVA not decided)and portals.

I would say that if you are doing a fresh install, be at the latest SP level. IN this case, I believe it is SP08.

BTW, if you are an ABAP shop, go with Web Dynpro ABAP, you won't be sorry.
