SAPPCUI_GP for FPM Development

Hi All,

we are developing new FPM applications (not for ESS/MSS). To do that, we have created a track on JDI/CMS and imported SAP-JEE, SAP_BUILDT and SAP_JTECHS sca files. we know that PCUI_GP is required to build FPM application and couldnt find the same (SAPPCUI_GP.sca). We got PCUI_GP.sca file from ESS package.

Our question is,

Do we have a .sca file for PCUI?

Is that what we done is right?

Wont this (ESS PCUI) harm the actual ESS/MSS applications?

Waiting for your reply.

Thanks

Suresh

Hi

PCUI_GP.sca file as part of the ESS package has both source and archives. This is what needs to be imported into JDI for modifications. You seem to be on the right path

Hi Pran,

Thanks for your reply. But here we want to create the new FPM application not the modifications for ESS Application.

My question is without using the ESS package is there any way to get the PCUI_GP.sca file.

Hi

You have to use the PCUI delivered as part of the ESS packages even it is for new developments. Obviously you wouldnt need ESS and MSS components for this.

Hi,

yes - Pran is right. You can get the PCUIGP sca from the service marketplace. As it is just a required component to build against - please do not add it as "Software Component for Development" into your track definition. But it has to be checked in and imported into the track, so that the buildspace knows these archives.
