XI Support Structure

Can anyone feed me some information on how there IT group is structure to support XI

Hi Sameer,

IT groups definations vary from company to company.

Generally speaking, the XI group will fall under Application integration group from development/design side. Also there will a XI infrastructure/basis group which will fall under Infrastructure/Basis group.

I do agree, the roles may vary from company to company.....

I need an understanding of under the Infrastructure/Basis group, and under XI

design, configuration and server trees what belongs to BAsis, Connectivity group, etc....

Hi Sameer.

It is one of the Advantage going for SAP XI,The BASIS team can go for the support along with the support of the R/3. The support is more or less like R/3 like transport, configuration, authorization. Need a seperate team of SAP XI developer for to handle the change request and to handle the Production Issue.
