How to configure my sld server to make a JCO destination work.

Hi,

I have installed a WAS J2EE and I would like to configure its sld server so as have a JCO Destination that access an external WAS R3 system. I ve read the entire documentation about sld but I could not manage to make it work. My system is only composed of one R3 system.

I ve set in the sld administrator (http://locahost:50000/sld/admin/index.jsp) the server settings and sld bridge settings to 'localhost' (host of J2EE) but I am not sure about the ports and sld gateway. In the visual administrator->cluster->sld data supplier I ve set http settings, RFC settings and CIM clients to 'localhost' and the CIM test succeeds. I ve also configured on the R3 system using RZ70 and SLDAPICUST with the sld parameters of my sld server but the data test fails. I tried to ping my sld using sldapi_read_example (report) but the ping fails also.

+ Can you please tell me in details what should I configure in the sld web console (http://locahost:50000/sld/), in the visual administrator of my J2E server and in the R3 system?

+ Is there a way not to configure anything on the R3 side?

If yes, what needs to be filled at minimum on the sld side so that my JCO destination can be created from the webdynpro console?

Thank You,

Younes

Hi Younes

I guess what you have maintained in your Visual Administrator is fine, but you should maintain your R/3 server details in your data supplier bridge.

Check if this post helps you

Hi Pran,

Thank you for your help. I found the solution I used RZ70 as you said. My R/3 had no Message server and I had to activate it (creating PUBLIC and SPACE logon groups).
