Error when replicate Material

Former Member

Dear Seniors,

We' re now in a process of upgrade our SRM from SRM 3.5 to SRM 5. all the data in SRM 5 is copy from SRM 3.5 production system, but now the new SRM 5 system is connected to our Sand box system (logical system), so the master data is not the same.

1. we have a same material number, but the detail specification is not the same in COMMPR01 and R/3, but when we do replication , errors occured. (using R3AR4-R3AR2)

2. we have a new material that need to replicate to SRM 5, but also errors occured. (using R3AR4-R3AR2)

we check in SMW01 , the errors :

-Mat. for Initial Download: Table not supported by function

-No storage form defined for product type 01 / logical system SRPIKD050

-Category for material group 007 does not exist

-Category for material group 9515016 does not exist

When i check in COMM_HIERARCHY the material group already exist.

Can anybody help for thi issue , thanks

Best Regards,

Darwin

Hello,

Can you not force initial transport with R3AS and overwrite the product masters in EBP ?

Dear Dinesh,

could you please more specific what force initial transport is about?

when we are still in a state of upgrading, are we allowed to copy data from srm3.5 to srm 5?

Could you please explain in details. thanks.

Hi,

You can start the initial load of all the product masters(Objects MATERIAL and SERVICE) AGAIN from your new Backend system into the SRM 5.0 system through the transaction R3AS.

Hi Disha,

Now the replication process is ok, but we solve it by change the source system, cause when we upgrade our SRM the default value gets from Production system, mean while our SRM 5 is being connected to sandbox system, after change the source system to sand box, the process works normally.

But the vendor replication still having problem , when i use

BBPGETVD to replicate a vendor from our R/3 sandbox system, the object id doesn't recognized. can you please advise for this thanks

Dear Disha,

The error : Organizational unit 50001079 does not exist; check entries

Message no. BBP_BUPA034

The Org Unit 50001079 exist in our Org management (vendor master structure), but its copied from SRM 3.5.

Hi,

Check for more details SM21 error logs.

Is it a delta download or inital download as for vendors after intial download we need to schedule a background job for replicating new and modified vendors.

job - BBP_VENDOR_SYNC

Darwin,

I dont think your material replication process is ok. currently you will have materials from your sandbox and the otehr system as you changed the source site and perfromed the replication.

Materials that came in from your sandbox are still present in SRM and the end users will not be able to shop against those materials as the LS GUID changed in table CRMMLSGUID as a result of the fresh replication.

Please perform the follwoing steps to keep your system clean and without errors:

Then we need to delete all the materials by -

-Maintain entries in table for userid COMC_PR_TOOL_REG

-Run program for deleting the single materials COM_PRODUCT_DELETE_SINGLE

To delete categories COM_HIERARCHY_DELETE_ALL

-Run program for deleting the all materials

COM_PRODUCT_DELETE_ALL

AS every where in the new client system stores the Logical System name and after deleting we need to run R3as again for all customising, Material objects etc.

Assuming you have all ready match tables

CRMMLSGUID in SRM and CRMPRLS in R3.

Thanks

Dear Sundeep,

I already check the 2 tables that you said, in CRMMLSGUID , there are two R/3 logical system (R/3 production system and R/3 sand box system) and in CRMPRLS there is only one logical system (R/3 sandbox). do we need to delete the R/3 production system Guid from CRMMLSGUID ?

And for information now the replication process is ok without perform the step that you gave, but there something unique: example in SRM 5 there is material number 20044056 with description A , but in R/3 sandox we have the same material number 20044056 with description B, than to synchronize the data, we replicate the material, and we expect that it would replace the A description with B, but now when we check to COMMPR01 there are 2 same material number ( 20044056) with 2 different description ( A & B ).

What should we do? Do we need to perform the deletion step that you mention before, eventhough the replication process already ok?

Also we have a problem when replicate vendor to SRM , when we run BBPGETVD , there's error that said the Object Id doesn't exist? But when we check the structure , the Object exist in OM, but it's copied from SRM 3.5 , is ther e any way to fix the problem, or we have to create a new object for vendor master in OM?

Thanks

Darwin,

That is what i am trying to explain. SInce you changed the source site and replicated materials, you have materials from two difefrent sources in your SRM system. This will create two Logical system guid in tabel CRMMLSGUID in your SRM system. In order to achieve synchronization of data you would need to perfrom the steps that i explained. Also you will not be able to complete a shopping cart with materials that are from the old system (as a result of the system copy).

Hence it is advisable to delete all categories from table CRMMLSGUID using T-code SE14. Then delete all entries from table COMM_CATEGORY and COMM_PRODUCT by using the procedure mentioned to you in my previous message.

Once you complete these steps, go ahead and do as initial load from R3AS. This time make sure you are connected to the right system. This will ensure that your data is synchronous and you have no overlaps of materials.

Concerning Vendor Replication. You would again need to replicate vendors, as again vendors present in your system are assocaiated to another logical system.

Please assign points for usefull answers !!!
