Availability of 'ABAP Unit' for Release 6.20

Hello,

the new unit-test framework 'ABAP Unit' came to our attention. As far as we know it is only available in Release 6.40. But an upgrade to this version in our company is not likely to happen in the next maybe 4 to 5 years. Nevertheless we would like to incorporate unit-tests on the basis of 'ABAP Unit' into our testing concept.

So is there any possibility to integrate 'ABAP Unit' into Release 6.20 ?

Thanks in advance,

Patrick Baer

Hi Nicola,

Do you have any docs about how it works?

I imported to my MiniWAS system, and I could run for some class, which was in the request, but for me it's not really clear.

Thanks in advance,

Peter

Hello Patrick,

ABAP Unit has ties to the kernel therefore it is not possible to use it in release 620.

Sorry

hi patrick

there may be another solution. the german company OFFIS created their own unit-test-framework, which should run on all R/3 systems supporting ABAP objects 4.6. the framework is licensed with a MIT license.

I'm waiting for a reply, since you can only get the source on request by email.

here is the url:
