Port Number

Hi All,

Currenty i got an url

http://ipadress:port number/sap/xi/engine?type=entry

to configure XI server in dev system. Can i use the same url for QA system , If not can anyone please tell me where to find Port Number for QA.

Hi Paul,

You can check the QA's port(thats reuired for the mentioned url) by checking transaction <i>smicm</i><i>->Goto->Services</i>

if you know the system number of the systems tehn the http port is 80<sytemnumber> and teh J2EE port is 5<systemnumber>00.

So if the system numbet is 00, then http port is 8000 and J2EE port is 50000.

as mentioned above if you are looking for the HTTP port - in XI server - tcode SMICM -> goto -> services -> and you will find the entry for HTTP there !!!

I want to know the ports for different systems like DEV, QA, Pro..etc

so just check them over there

the ports cna be different on each system

and then you can fill in in the pipeline url in SLD

The port number will depend upon the system number that we supply during installation, if its teh same system number for Dev,QA etc, then the port number remain the same.

Hi Paul,

You can find the J2EE port from the XI home page address of your QA box. J2EE port is calculated as 50000+(100*instance number). This instance number you can get from your Basis team.

Then for the HTTP port, go to transaction SMICM in the ABAP stack and from menu path Goto-> Services.You can see the HTTP service with its port no.

if he's talking about Pipeline URL

the port has to be HTTP and not j2ee so not 5XX00
