I am wondering what is the best (following) option to consume the webservices (third party) through SAP,
1) ABAP Proxy(no SAPXI) to access webservices
2) Proxy(SAP XI) to Access webservices
please some one can clarify which one is best, client does not have XI, but if it is best way then they ready to go for XI (proxy) to use webservice.
Proxy(SAP XI) to Access webservices

the advantage of opting for XI in such a case
1. its central monitoring ablity
2. restart message flow in case the target is unavailable for a time period
etc ....
1) ABAP Proxy(no SAPXI) to access webservices

Can it possible to Access webservices using ABAP Proxies, if yes how difficult compare to SAPXI generated Proxies. I really appreciate your advice.

Access webservices using ABAP Proxies

for accessing webservices from XI u have the SOAP adapter.
I have a RFC -> SOAP scenario in the following weblogs. The approach in your case too wud be same except replace the RFC with the ABAP proxy.
