File Adapter Active - No Messages

Former Member

I've have an outbound file adatper that is active and running. I don't see any activity in the run-time workbench message monitoring. The log file below is the only other information I have to indicate the adapter is running. I don't see any activity in SXMB_MONI. Since I don't see anything in the XI Monitor, I'm assuming the adapter is not configured correctly. I'm just not sure what that is. The file directory is NFS mounted and the data file there. Is there somewhere else to look to see if the file was actually found by the adapter? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hi Bill,

Thanks for responding. I do have a sender agreement set up. My problem appears to be the transport protocol. I was using NFS and nothing was happening. So I changed it to FTP and the file was picked up and processed in XI.

However, I've since been told that standard FTP was turned off and only SFTP is allowed in the environment. Now it doesn't work any longer. I have two questions that I hope you can help me with:

1) Does XI support Secure FTP (SFTP)? If so, do I need addtional configuration to set it up. I already have a username and password. I'm not familiar with SFTP, so I'm not sure what else is required.

2) Have you used the NFS transport option before? I'm not sure why this didn't work. The mount was set up properly and the adapter initialized and was active (green light). I verified this by using an incorrect path name in configuration. An error was generated and the adapter would not initialize (red light). Any help you can provide here is appreciated, as I think I will need to use NFS.

Thanks,

Mark

Did you ever find a solution for your SFTP question?

The configuration is for a "sender file adapter".

Do you have a Sender Agreement configured?
