PO commitment reduced by downpayment

Former Member

Hi all,

I have read serverals post about this issue, but no one make reference with update profile 0101.

My problem is that PO commitment is reduces with a downpayment posting:

PO:

PO commnt: 1000 (original)

Posting downpaymtn with PO reference:

DownPymnt: 100 (original) statical

PO -100 (reduction) non statical

So, may problem is the second line, where PO commitment is reduced.

Is there a way to supress second line or set it as statical, as well?

My version is 6.00 with EhP4.

Thanks in advance,

Max Balmaceda

Hi Max, check your derivation strategy in order to not overwrite the commitment item assigned in the purchase order when posting the downpayment request.

thanks for your points!

Hi Max, I don't understand what are you trying to do, but if you want to make statical commnt please try to TRACE the operation (downpayment posting) and work with yours derivation rules for overwrite commnt.

Hi Osvaldo,

Downpayment posting is statical, the problem is the second line created.

When posting downpayment in FI generates one line in FI-AP, but in FM generates two:

First line with the statical downpayment posting and

Second, with a reduction of my original PO, this second one is the problem.

Thanks,

All right, but, did you trace the entire operation?

Unless you have a different commitment item on the two lines from the downpayment, can't see how you'd get 1 stat line and 1 non-stat line item.  Would perform trace as recommended and see what CI you are pulling.
