hi,

Is budget structure and availability control serves the same purpose in funds management? is it possible to use both at the same time ? is it possible to block a particular fund, funds center and commitment items in budget structure from posting any transactions?

Hi,

These two entities could serve for the solution of the same business tasks, but they are certainly not the same. For more information about it, please read help.sap.com

In budget structure, if you don't create the address, you won't be able to post on it. However, deleting an address will be possible only without any postings on it. Blocking as such does not exist in standard, but it could be developed (we did it in one of the projects).
