trying to recreate the deleted WBS

when i am trying to recreate the deleted WBS.i am getting following error

WBS element xxxxxxxx version FREI_VERSION already exist.

here i want to know that how wbs and versions are related and linked ?

Hi ,i am tying thru CN41 by entering WBS and PROJEC. path is cn41-extras in menu-delete project versions- here i enterd are session =57

version key =FREI_VERSION

and enter, i am getting following error

Project version FREI_VERSION is status-dependent

Message no. OV010

Diagnosis

Version FREI_VERSION was created by a status, such as "released".

System Response

You cannot process this version from the project information system (for example, create, extend or delete).

Procedure

Enter a different version number.

Can anybody help me.

Hi gurur,

Here i check that

1. I have created PROJECT with 2 WBSE with same project profile which was used by user.

2 here i deleted one of 2 WBSE,But i am able to recreate same WBSE.

3.But for user deleted WBSE, i am not able to recreate.

4 i checked in above project profile, there is no VERSION PROFILE is maintained simply empty. so where we can maintained link between project elements and version key or version profiles.

Please advice me.

Hi,

The error diagnosis that you posted clearly states that the version is status dependent. You cannot delete that version through CN41 or any other transaction. There is a note that describes how to delete these types of version. You can also search the forum as this has been already discussed and solutions have been provided for such issues.
