Hi guys,
I'm with a little problem. We had the SAP Content Sever 6.20 implemented with SAP DB 7.4, all of them in 32 bits, under Windows Server 2008 64. Our chalenge was change the Content Server and the DB to new version (6.4 and 7.6), all in 64.
The strategy was install a new Content Sever and DB. That is we have done, and the intallation is OK. So, what we need now is import the old database to the new one.
How can we do this? Using just the Database Manager is not work and get the backup from the SAP DB 7.4 and try to restore in Max DB does not work neither.
Someone can help us?
If you need further information please let me know
Thanks everyone

Hello!!
As per note [129352 - Homogeneous system copy with MaxDB (SAP DB)|https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/129352]
"As of MaxDB Version 7.5, backups can also be imported into target systems in which a higher MaxDB version is running. Example: A backup of Version 7.5.00.50 can be imported into a target system with all of the available MaxDB versions higher than or equal to 7.5.00.50.
In the case of MaxDB versions lower than 7.5, the first three digits of the MaxDB version must correspond in the source system and target system (that is, they must correspond up to build level). Example: A backup of Version 7.3.00.50 can be imported into a target system with MaxDB Version 7.3.00.60. If you want to import it into target systems of Version 7.4 or 7.5, you must carry out additional steps.
You will find a description of the additional steps for a version change from 7.3 to 7.5 using backup/restore at http://www.mail-archive.com/maxdb<at>lists.mysql.com/msg08044.html and
http://www.sapdb.org/7.4/pdf/migration73_74eng.pdf, for example."
Hope it helps,
Diego.
