CSR Certificate Error

Former Member

Hi Experts,

I generated the CSR certificate via STRUST transaction -. SSL Server and sent it to CA company.

When CA company tries to generate the certificate through my CSR request file the following error appears:

The CSR does not contain a state or locality. Please click your browser's Back button and enter a new CSR

Do you guys know how I can fix it?

thank you

Hi,

You will find following fields while generating the CSR certificate:

1)Country,

2) State (or Province)

3) Locality (or City)

3)Organization,

4)Organizational Unit

5) Common Name

Please make sure you have filled the State or Locality fields ( ex "New Delhi")

Regards,

Sonia

Hi,

These are the default fields needed when you use the SAP TCA (certification authority).

You have to change these fields depending from your needs (what information you want to show in the certificate) and from the certificate authority rules.
