RBA issue : Second time ATP check

Former Member

Hi Folks,

We are facing a peculiar problem. We are using RBA with location determination. First time when we are doing ATP check in GATP the system is confirming as per the availability situation. For example location A has ATP of 50 , location B has ATP of 50, and if sales order is of qty 100, system is confirming correctly from both A (50 qty) and B (50 qty) as per rule. Now after accepting the confirmation, and coming back to the main sales order screen,if we do a ATP check again for the same sales order, the system excludes the earlier confirmed ATP and does not confirm anything !!

We are presently on SCM 5.00 . Is this a common problem on this version? . Any pointers to fix the issue will be very appreciated.

Thanks,

Sameer

Hi Sameer,

Your issue looks like a bug.

Could find the following OSS notes but they don't look relevant for your issue:

Note 1323657 - Item with new check triggers RBA with overallocations

(Above is exactly opposite of your issue)

Note 1335615 - PAL/RBA: explanation incorrect + recheck underconfirms

(Above is relevant only for PAL & RBA together).

While you look for someone to help on this forum, better to also raise an OSS message for SAP to seek their help.

Thanks - Pawan

Hi,

We have tried teh option suggested by you, but it is not working. we are not facing any problems in basis GATP check or MATP check, the problem is only when we use RBA.

Hi Sameer

Few things to check:

1) Is it happening only for select cases or all cases

2) Are you using RBA along with any other functionality

3) Do you have any enhancement/development around RBA

4) What is the ATP Group and Check Instruction while you are doing ATP Check for second time - does it have RBA checked

I would also suggest to raise a OSS message with SAP in parallel.

Thanks,

Hi Sameer

Please go to the /SAPAPO/ATPC01 Customizing transaction "Maintain ATP Group" and set the cumulation for the ATP group to "Cumulation of the confirmed quantity when creating and changing". For details, you may check OSS Note 700386 - FAQ: Rules-based ATP. Let us know if the issue still persists.

Thanks,
