Dear All,,
In DMS what is the status IW (IN WORK) is for?
Can anybody explain what is the difference between CT(CREATED) & IW (IN WORK) Status?
Regards,
Varma.
Dear v@pbpet
When a DIR is created by a responsible person to start a business process such as * ceation of a product design for Pump* a DIR is created. SO status of DIR is "CR".
This person send this DIR through Manual info or Document Distribution or Workflow to a pesron who actually creates a design drawing in AutoCAD application.
The Person ( Draftsman) who is creating the design in AutoCAD put DIR in "INWORK" status. That mean his creation of design drawing for Pump is in progress. Once he creates a design drwaing in for of DWG or DXF file and attaches it to DIR. He then sets status to "IR-INSPECTION REQUIRED".
The Draftsman send this DIR through Manual info or Document Distribution or Workflow to a pesron who actually checks the Design. The person who checks design is a seniot official or senior design officer.
Hope I have made it cristal clear.
With Warm Regards

Hi Varma,
In Work : It implies document is under process.
CT ( Created) : It implies document has been created and we shall initiate workflows to pass on to next level of approvals.
Information:
In the Doc. status field, you shall enter an internal key for your status. This key is only used internally for system checks, and is of no significance to the end user.
You may create your own nomenclature for better understanding.
