Linking Product Sales and Freight Cost

Hi Friends,

In my company we are using freight carriers for shipping the products to customers.

The current practice is to combine few products into one shipment and then ship it to final customer. The whole shipping cost is recorded under the freight forwarder (as a vendor in SAP).

Because of the above practice, it is impossible to estimate the shipping cost of each product for us.

We really would like to split the cost and attach the cost of shipping to each product we ship.

Can you suggest me a way how we can do this?

Do you have any other suggestions?

What is the best practice to follow in SAP?

Hi,

You could use the Shipment Cost document functionality to have the freight costs calculated for each shipment.

Kindly check the Shipping and transportation functionality of SAP where you could estimate the Shipment costs based on certain factors.
