Uncheck system status

Hello,

In the project builder screen, The Current system status for a particular WBS is CLSD ACPT SETC. Now if i click on status management information icon, it will take us to the screen which shows the list of Active system status with Activated check boxes. In our case check box has been activated for CLSD, ACPT, SETC.

(a) Can i uncheck the SETC system status to remove this status?. "According to my knowledge this functionlaity is not possible", In case its possible, What kind of roles required to uncheck this?

HI,

I understand your problem, but if this project was executed and settled without RA Key it should continue without RA Key, ajust/clear the postings and then settled and close.

Could you check in your system why RA Key is now requeried and if you can change this only for this project to solve this issue?

Hi,

You can only moify the WBS if it is open (at least the system status has to be different from Closed). And when it is open you cannot modify the status SETC if not, if you can delete the settlement rule it is going to be deleted automatically, but settlement rule can only be deleted if it has not been used,

Then you have to do :

1) Open WBS

2) try to delete the setllement rule

By the way... why do you want to delete status SETC?...

Hello,

This is regards a issue user would like to open a list of WBS elements , which are all set closed long back with blank RAKEY . Why user want to re-open means some balances are lying in the balance sheet so she would like to clear once its open.But system not allowing us to Change the Status.

Observations:

1) If trying to change the CLSD status, system is asking to fill the blank RA-Key.

2) If we fill the RA-KEY parameter then system is showing Settlements Error and not allowing to save.

For all activities the system status should be open we are not getting what could be possible list of action steps.

You can't Edit a System status. System statues are activated/changed in result of some internal transactions.

SETC is activated when you enter a settlement rule. To deactivate it you'll have to remove that settlement rule.

Thanks for your valuable inputs, At this point both the system And User status are CLSD. HOw to remove settlement rule at this point. IF status is closed also, is their any possiblitiy to remove the settlement ru le and how? Could you guide the same,

Hi John,

System statuses are automatically set and reset based on business transaction we perform. You cant manually change system status. Some system status are reversible though. For eg if you remove settlement rule, SETC will disappear. SAP has hence provided user status for defining our own status and controlling business transaction on that basis. Hope this helps.

No, this is not possible, thissttaus is automatically set when the settlement rules is created and It cannot be editable manually.
