Hi Experts,
We have a number of users with slow network connection to our servers. These users are generating high GUI time and affecting our average response time. Many of these users hold up the process with SAPLSGUI. Session_manager response time is also high in client 000.
We want to identify these users from SAP. With 3000 users, the ping check in ST06 gets time out when executed. Is there any other way to list the slow users?
Thanks,
TM
Hi TM,
Alternative way to check the slow users is /nSTAD transaction. There look for the columns GUI time , FE net time, etc.
This discussion : https://scn.sap.com/thread/1384144 would help you further for the interpretation.
Best regards.
Sylvia

Hi All,
We had been using NIPING for some problematic users to detect network issues. But now we will like to identify all users with slow network. In other words, ideally we will like to perform NIPING to our 3000 users at an interval.
We can't find a good way for doing this. For now, we will sort ST03n by gui time and filter out those users who's output to frontend is under a certain threshold.
Thanks all,
TM

Hi,
Goto User Profile section in ST03n and sort them with high GUI time.

Hi Nirmal,
For ST03 user profile, the high gui time may not reflect that the corresponding user terminal has slow network connection. On many occasions, a user with good network is transferring huge data resulting in long gui time. We are looking more into a utility that perform like ping.
