Hello Experts,
When we create a Rental object the status becomes as CRTE REL, where as ideally it should be CRTE and we need to release the masterdata to make postings.
Please advice how do i change this initial status.
Regards
Kumar
Hello Kumar,
in RE-FX the system status REL is set automatically when a new rental object is created. But you can set a user status that blocks the object for posting. (which can be also set by default if you have assigned one unique status scheme)

Hi Franz/Rohit,
Thanks for your quick reply.
We have configured the User status also.
But when we create a business entity or and building the initial system status is CRTE and we can release to make REL.
Why is Rental objuect is different. At creatiion its CRTE REL.

Kumar

Hi Kumar,
rental object is often used as receiver for transfer postings of the assigned contract (especially for lease-out where rental objects are occupied by contracts). Therefore it had been decided that the system status REL is set by default for rental objects so that it is not necessary to release the rental objects manually.
This is part of the system design.

HI,
The relevance of the REL status is mainly when you need to control posting cost data to the Rental object.
If you need to control the transactions activities, then you need to define a seperate user status in IMG for rental object and assign that as default in RO master.
Based on permissions provided in specific User statuses system will control the posting at RO.

Rohit
