configuring email functionality in solution manager7.1

HI Experts,

Recently we have configured Service desk configuration in solution manager7.1, now while creating the message from satellite system we are not getting any email notification, so could you please tell me how to configure email functionality in Solman 7.1 for service desk.

Hi Govardhan,

Please check:

1. actions SMIN_STD_FIND_TEAM_SEND_EMAIL,

SMIN_STD_FIND_PARTNER_FDT:

Automativally finds support team based on a rule framework (PFAC or

BRF+) and sends an e-Mail to the Support Team, if found.

2. action SMIN_STD_MAIL

Sends e-Mail to reporter of message, but this action needs to be

triggered manually.

3. action SMIN_STD_MAIL_PROCESSOR

Sends e-Mail to processor of message, but this action needs to be

triggered manually.

4. action SMIN_STD_MAIL_WATCHLIST

Automatically sends an e-Mail to the users which have the message in

their watchlist in case there is a text change in the message.

Hi, vardhan44307.

In 7.1 and 7.01 the main part of E-mail functionality configuration is similar for both versions. So you can make it in 7.1 using the config guide for 7.01

Hi,

some of transaction types not there in 7.1, lot of screen chamnges were there, i gone through the 7.01 doc but its not helpful.
