Hi,
I encountered error during solution manager 7.1 upgrade in phase MAIN_SWITCH/MODPROF_TRANS.
The error shown as below.
SAPup broke during phase MODPROF_TRANS in module MAIN_SWITCH / Downtime I: Switch tables and Kernel
Error Message: Unknown macro 'PROFTYPE'
I try to google but can't find anything. Is it something to do with the profile parameter?
Thanks,
KJ
Hi KJ,
This is a known issue of SAPehpi release lmt_001 version 40.025.
Developers are working on the fix. For a quick solution, please replace
ALPXPOOL.XML at DIR_PUT/abap/bin with the attached ALPXPOOL.XML file in below link:
It should work. The fix will be included in the next release of SAPehpi.
Thanks
Regards,
Vikram

Hi just to update this thread also helped solve my issue upgrading ECC6 EHP4 --> EHP5
and Thanks also to Carsten..for your help...
SAP AGS said suggested to use the latest SAPEHPI, saw a new one released yesterday 8th March. Since I already at the start of downtime I ended up just the workaround suggested above...and it worked

Hi Guys,
I've got this error during an ERP 6.0 to ERP 6.0 EHP5-Upgrade as well.
And I did not find a SAP note to this as well, but this hint helped me out.
Maybe a SAP note would be a helpful thing for others too. Or a new
SAPEHPI maybe...
Kind Regards,
Carsten Loeffler
