Hallo all,

I'm going to install

SAP NetWeaver 7.02 SP9 64 bit Application Server ABAP Trial Version

It is said that

JRE 1.4.x or JRE 1.5.x (for installation only)

is required and that

(JRE 1.6 is not supported)

Actually on my Windows-7-PC I installed

Java(TM) 6 Update 13 (64-bit) Sun Microsystem, Inc.

Java(TM) 6 Update 31 Oracle

Java(TM) Platform, Standard Edition

Runtime Environment

Version 6.

Is it possible to install

SAP NetWeaver 7.02 SP9 64 bit Application Server ABAP Trial Version

under my JRE-version?

Dear Frank,

In case of ABAP only server JDK is required by sapinst to install the system so i think it should work for you.

If you are able to start sapinst then you can install Netweaver ABAp server.

I believe you should use the latest available from the 1.4 family.

I think 1.6 is for 7.3 Release.

Since yours is abap (not AS Java), it shouldn't have any impact.
