Hello Everyone,
I am trying to setup auto syndication in MDM 7.1 SP07.
I have done few settings in
Syndicator : selected suppressed unchanged records. (tick mark is in value column)
Console: checked port type as outbound, map name is correct, processing type as automatic, processing interval as Hourly, have set next syndication date and time.
MDSS.ini file: checked user ID and password for particular repository.
Apart from this what are all the points needs to be consider in configuration settings?
Why because MDM syndicator is not generating file to ready folder.
Thanks,
Nirmala.
Hello,
Couple of things that you need to do are mentioned in the earlier posts.
Like type in the user and password in the MDIS server from the Auxillary server.
Also check if any records are getting create or change in an Hour time, which you have set up.
Then check, if you are getting the files in the ready folder or not.
If yes, then check if PI is configured to pick the files from the ready folder.
And if the files are not getting placed in the ready folder, check from MSD whether you are able to ping the MDIS server or not.
Regards,
Abhishek

Hello Nirmala,
If your Admin password has been recently changed try updating the same in the MDSS User name and Password property in Console

Hi Nirmala
You can also let us know if the file is generating from MDM ( looking in outbound ready folder),
If yes then there is some problem in Xi where XI is not able to pick the file , in that case you should also check the Structural exception folder in Outbound (there should not be any file in Structual exception folder)
Els if the file is not found in its repective outbound folder that means the syndication is not performing.

Hello Nirmala,
1. Check if the next syndication data/time has crossed, syndication will only be triggered when the date/time crosses for an Automatic port.
2. IF Suppress unchanged records is enabled check In the syndicator if all the records(unchanged ) are grayed out, then none of the records will be syndicated.
3. IF you see only some records are grayed out and the records which are Not grayed out are not being syndicated Check if the Suppress records without Key option is Enabled If yes then check the NON Grayed out records remote keys are present( Open the key mappings for these records and ensure they have keys for the Maps remote systems).
4. Check if the repository credentials are correct in the repository detail pane auxiliary server node in Console, because when the MDSS connects to the repository for syndication it will update the Name and password in MDSS.INI. It is advicable not to change the password directly in the .ini file directly.
5. In the Global MDSS parameters Check if the Auto syndication Task EnabledI also check the Auto syndication Task delay . In the Repository specific MDSS parameters check the Auto syndication Task delay in Seconds.
6. Check the syndication file size because MDSS scans ports in a seqential manner so a large file at some other port might delay syndication of the ports which are waiting. Solution would be to run the Syndication Manually for the first time since the record numbers are large and then enable the suppress unchanged records.
Hope this helps,
Rgds,
Prasad.
