Hello...
I am getting missing index errors in db check in my BW system.
DB check is throwing total 43 missing index errors.
I have run the SAP_INFOCUBE_INDEXES_REPAIR from SAP level and out put is as below
0 IB_VCITM : 0 secondary indexes repaired.
0 S001_SDED : 0 secondary indexes repaired.
0 S002_SDOP : 0 secondary indexes repaired.
0 S023_SD04 : 0 secondary indexes repaired.
I think, it had run successfully.
But still i am getting missing index warnings from db check. ( eg: /BIC/AI2D_CPMT40 )
Please suggest, how to resolve this.
Regards,
Nagendra.
Hello Najendra,
With BW, indexes are dropped before and recreated after data loads for performance reasons. It is therefore common to see this warning. If your check db job is running during this time it will flag any missing indexes. I am not a BW expert but I believe that it is recommended to run a create index job as part of the process chain, this will eliminate database reporting of 'missing' indexes. Additionally, you should never create BW indexes via SE14 transaction. BW indexes should only be created via the standard BW reports, function modules etc. Another possibility could be oss note below depending on your release.
1094305 - BW indexes with incorrect names (only NW 2004s)
Best Regards
Rachel

Hi Nagendra
SAP Provides all the Indexes ( Predefine One (Primary Index) + Four ( Secondary Index) , Check if there are any Missing Index and recreate using T-Codes ( DB02 , SE14)
