If you are using Firefox, you can install SDN search directly: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/find-sap/

The best bet would be to start with the Universe guide, then switch to Webi guide. These are readily available at [http://help.sap.com/businessobjects|http://help.sap.com/businessobjects]

Hi Swetha,

The next Ideal step would be WEBI. You will have better understanding if you start with WEBI.

First save your universe and export it to the repository. Then go to WebI and import the universe from the repository.

I have mentioned all the links with respect to the individual tools. Follow those links.

When you are starting Xcelsius, go to file> templates. Here you will find few default reports. Analyze them to get an idea.

Any further doubts feel free to ask.

Hope it helps.

Hi Swetha, the next thing you should do is to find a "real" project in your organization where you can apply any one of the tools that you have listed. You can build all the test reports or demo reports in the world, but there is no substitute to "real world" experience. By doing it in a real project, you will learn and grow a lot more than you can with eFashion.

Hope this helps.

have i missed any step? pls suggest.

i have followed the same import steps that i found in few docs & SDN.

Hi Swetha,

Are you using the latest WEBI 4.0 or previous version. If you using the latest version, then as soon as you open the WEBI you will see the below screen.

Jus select your universe here. In the next screen all your universe data will appear.

Hope it helps.

Sravan.

i figured it out.

just have to export universe from designer after creation.    didnt find any explicit import universe import step in webi.

in webi - login - create new - then it asks me from universe/other datasource - selected universe - it showed universe list - found 2 entries for my demo universe - selected one entrey in them - did next - reached screen to create webi query ....

new SDN is awesome, can attach files... very useful feature

Hi Swetha,

Good that you have your universe available in WEBi.

WEBI has lot of formatting features, try every option. They are very helpful.  And in universe as well you have derived tables, enhancements and traps. Do research on these topics. They are very important.

Good going.

Sravan.
