NetWeaver 7.3 Firefox 10 ESR - Multiple issues

Hi

We have set up a NetWeaver 7.3 SP5 Portal. It also hosts a Web Dynpro ABAP Application for time recording in an iView.

We experience multiple issues in Firefox 10.0.2 ESR I could not find a solution for in SAP Notes, so maybe someone here in SDN has a solution / workaround:

1) After Login, Firefox goes Full-Screen (F11). This is not desirable at all. How can we change this behavior?

2) In the Web Dynpro ABAP iView the F4-Help / Value Help is not working, neither does "dropdown by index". This is definitely a NetWeaver 7.3 problem, since both technologies work if we access the WebDynpro ABAP iView in Firefox directly.

In IE everything works fine.

1) is still not answered nor fixed.

Opened a Note regarding no 2)

In addition to the Value Help, which seems to be Portal/WD-ABAP related, Dropdowns do not work in WD ABAP.

For future search results I'll also list the concerned JavaScript File popup_nn7,js (We are on SAP_ABA 700 SP20):

/sap/public/bc/ur/nw5/js/popup_nn7,js?7.0.20.00

In our case, the related error messages refer to the following JS-

oWindow.innerHeight (Value Help)
this.frame.window.document.write(strContent); (DropdownByIndex)

Hi Michael,

did you receive any response to your problem no 2? We are currently facing the same problem. Everything works fine with IE but not with firefox.

Thanks for your reply,

Michael

The first level support told me that our current Patch-Level (NW 700 P20) & OS (SLES 10SP3) combination are not supported . Thanks a lot, by the way.

I could fix the F4-Help-issue by implementing the UR Mime & ABAP Renderer Notes (don't know the numbers right now) up to Patch 27. The dropdown issue is still not resolved so we officially told our employees to use IE only.

As follow up: No 1) solved itself - supposely by a Firefox ESR update.
