Hi

We are facing a problem in storage location determination in outbound delivery document.(Please not that we are using AFS)

In outbound delivery system is picking the materials from the other storage locations also along with the determined storage location, facing this problem each and every time.

I have checked the below basics and found correct only.

1.Plant to shipping point Assignment

2.Storage location determination for outbound delivery (Ex:FG01)

3.Storage condition of material in MMR (Ex:06)

4.Storage location in SO (we not maintaining stor.location @ SO level)

Thanks in advance

Anil

Hi,

In AFS, the storage location that you see in the delivery document is determined based on the stock allocation status (ARun). Based on the Allocation Run (ARun) settings, it allocate stocks. This you have to specify in the Allocation Type customizing under "Allocation Rule"

When you go in to the "Allocation Rule" assigned to your "ARun" type, check the section "Stock Prioritization". If you have selected "Dynamic Stock Prioritization" then it takes what's defined by the system. (You can see how it works under F1 help there)

If you have selected "Use Stock Sort Rule", then system allocated based on the stock sorting rule you have setup. Therefore please check the stock sorting rule carefully. If you have specified a storage location priorities in the "Sort Rule" customizing, then ARun will allocate available stock based on that priority you have setup.

In both cases, you can see how stock has been allocated using the table J_3ABDBS. This is where system saves ARun results. Field J_3ABDBS - LGONR. Same will be flows to the delivery note.

Hope this helps!

Hi

This answer was very much helpful, since we are running allocation run in background we could not use stock sort rule, but we have come to a conclusion that this problem is with 'allocation run', we are using J4AB as of now to de allocate the storage locations which are not required.

Thank you one and all for the replies.

If you have checked [ TCode OVL3|;.

Further check with your Material Master, select MRP2 view and maintain the default storage location which you want to flow into sale order/delv. doc, then maintain "Prod.stor.location".
