Unable to access Java stack

Former Member

Hi

I am trying to access my new XI server. I am able to login to the ABAP stack from SAP GUI. When I enter SXMB_IFR, I get an error, " No route to host". If I replace the host name with IP Address, I am able to access the page. I entered the hostname and port in the host files and saved it. Still I am not able to access and I get the same error message when I try to access Transaction SXMB_IFR.

Any input guys

Regards

Dear Radhika

Have you performed all post installation steps for your new XI system

The error you are getting is may be the entries are not maintained in the exchange profile

What is the out out of SLDCHECK?

SLDCHECK gives successful message.

Under Connections tab, LAN Settings, Proxy server is checked and an address and port is maintained. If I uncheck that, I am able to login to the page but still I am not able to get into ESR or IB. In short am not able to access ESR and IB at all

Cannot connect to server using message server: ms://host:port/P4

It shows ABAP Port here

If I uncheck that, I am not able to access internet

Any inputs

Dear Radhika,

Check if your host is correctly configured in C:windows/system32/drivers/etc/hosts .

Also check if you have correctly maintained the FQDN there...

Naveen

I mentioned in the first post itself that I have added details to hostfile.

However, I added IPaddress and the host name also.

Isnt that the same as FQDN?

Radhika,

Just Right click and check the computer name in the PI server so that you will come to know if the given host is FQDN or not.

Hello,

In addition to the recommendations provided already, you could check the following:

Note: #1571274 Cannot connect to server using message server ms://

Check that the fully qualified domain name is being used in the icm/host_name_full?

Please also check the FQDN is being used in the Exchange Profile?

"Configuring the Exchange Profile"

http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwpi71/helpdata/en/44/b700e6352056a2e10000000a1553f6/frameset.htm

Please check if the following parameters have the correct value

in the Exchange profile :

com.sap.aii.connect.directory.mshttpport (SCS Port)

com.sap.aii.connect.repository.mshttpport (SCS Port)

Also ensure that P4 ports are not blocked by the firewall.

Is this a PI High Availability system? If yes, please check that all configurations have been completed as per the attached note #1052984 Process Integration 7.1 - High Availability.

Kind regards,

Sarah

Hi Sarah

Thanks a lot for your inputs

I can access neither NWA or Exchange Profile. I get a message, " Insufficient authorization". What role should I have to access NWA ?

How do I check P4 ports are not blocked by Firewall?

And how do I know whether this is a PI High Availability system?

Hi,

It looks problem with network, to open JAVA stack some port should open in network side then only you can access it, better to take help from Basis/network team.
