Transportation lane got unblocked after CIF transfer

Hi Experts,

We have an issue regarding transportation lane. The special procurement key has been maintained for one material. The transportation lane got created in APO. We have blocked that TLane in APO system because we have another TLane from MRP area to destiantion location. But then every time CIF reactivatation, the Tlane from plant to destination location got unblocked again. Is it SAP standard behavior? Any way to avoid this?

Hi Wen,

As I also understand, your T-Lane in APO which corresponds to Special Procurement Key should get unblocked only if you run RIMODINI for the particular material. If you only generate and activate the IM (Integration Model) for material, then it should not get unlocked. Only delta changes are supposed to come to APO with the re-generation and re-activation of IMs.

If you can avoid using special procurement key, since you already have another T-Lane, that would be the best solution.

There are enhancements possible to CIF, but if you try to modify the standard behaviour, you would need to be careful in order to avoid issues where T-Lanes which you want to use in APO could also get locked. Better try to be close to SAP standard.

Hi Wen,

Ideally you should remove special procurement key from material master in ECC to avoid any issues.

If you are doing initial transfer for materials same product will be transfered again along with it maste data causing Tlane unblock. Problem should not come if you are doing delta transfer of materials. I.e. only newly added materials are transfered to APO.
