Hello,

Can we use NWBC 3.0 with our SRM 7 (NW 7 EHP1)?

We want to delete our SRM portal (NW 7.01 Java) to replace by Netweaver Business Client.

We have the following configuration:

SRM 7 / AIX 5.3 / Oracle 10.2.0.5:

SAP_ABA 701 SP5

SAP_BASIS 701 SP5

PI_BASIS 701 SP5

SAP_BS_FND 701 SP5

SAP_BW 701 SP5

SAP_AP 700 SP18

SRM_PLUS 700 SP5

SRM_SERVER 700 SP5

SRM_EXPL 700 SP5

SRM_EXT 700 SP5

Could you please inform me, if NWBC 3.0 is compatable with SRM 7?

SAP NetWeaver Business Client 3.0 is shipped together with enhancement package 5 for SAP ERP 6.0, "SAP ERP 6.05"

and other SAP business suite applications based on enhancement package 2 for SAP NetWeaver 7.0, "SAP NW 7.02".

The runtime of the SAP NetWeaver Business Client 3.0 is released for customers and partners using

SAP NetWeaver 7.00 Service Pack 21 or higher, and

Hi,

Yes. You can keep SRM 7.0 with SP10. NWBC client is supported for the same.

Yes. It's very much possible.

NWBC can be used without EP from SRM 7.0 SP10.

Also refer SAP Note 1368177 - SAP NWBC v3.0 Release on NW7.00 and NW701.

Hi Robi,

It's still possible running SRM 7 without portal. In my previous project, my development client only use NWBC 3.0 and it works. Here are some useful links to explore more
