Summery :Quality inspection of Material for one plant when Goods recipt is done from multiple plants via STO

Description:

a) Material X is procured from Plant 1020 via STO and Goods Recipt is done in Plant 1030 - (Mandatory Inspection) inspection )

b) Same Material X when is procured from anther Plant 1040 and Goods Recipt is done in plant 1030 -(No Inspection)

Need to Under stand

  • is there an inspection type that can be used for STO POu2019s? For example, the 01 type generates a lot for NB Standard POs. Is that just a matter of configuring one of the already existing inspection types so that it only works for the STOu2019s?

*Can a user exit be added to only STO POu2019s originating from plant 1020? That way inspection lots will only generate from 1020 and not on the STOu2019s from 1040 or any other plant that may originate one.

*Is it possible to code the 1020 STO POu2019s to automatically kick out an inspection lot regardless of the material master inspection type setup?

Thanks

Dear Upiner,

It is not possible for standard.

There is one option like when you want to do inspection for material then add inspection type 08 in material master for plant 1030 and when not then remove it from the same.

Hi,

Inspection origins are assigned hardcoded to movement types in SAP standart, but you can assign various inspection types to one origin and use as you choose (see customization steps for inspection control). For STOs 101 movement inspection origin has to be 08. You can define an inspection type under origin 08 and have user exit to select this new type when conditions are met. This user exit is QAAT0001, component EXIT_SAPLQAAT_002. New control type must be assigned to all the materials, then in this user exit you can have system select this type according to movement type and plant etc. You can also have system skip the inspection entirely by the help of this exit.

Regards.

Since you are using an 01 inspection from the sound of the posting, I assume that each plant supplying material has their own vendor number associated with them. If so you can use quality info records to require inspection for the one " vendor" but not for the other.
