DEAR GURUS,
Material inspection certificate life is 1-yr,materail stock (unused) lying in the stores for last 1-yr to be retested in quality inspite of having shelflife,please explain the procedure for retesting the material (is it thru' movement type 331)?. And how to send it back to finish stores after retesting?

You have a two part issue. If you don't have an inspection interval set up in the material master, you more than likely do not have "next inspection date" in the batch record. So your first part is how to inspect current material. You have two choices, either update the nex inspection dates via an LSMW or via the the batch cockpit, BMBC. Once updated you can run your recurring inspection program and create the 09 lots. Or you can do as Sujit described using the material movement.
The second part you have to tackle is how to ensure future inspections. For that I recommend setting up your inspection intervals and scheduling the recurring inspection program to run on a daily or weekly basis.

Hi Since SLED is there it should be batch managed material. Then you can activate inspection type 09 (Recurring inspection and set the inspection interval as 1 yr so that after every 1 yr system ll trigger a inspection lot for the balance qty from the batch.

You can do internal transfer through 311 mvt type form one storage location to other( 08 inspection lot).
