Receiver not found when using ICO does not persist message

Hi,

When using the IDOC_AAE adapter for an inbound message the message is not visible in message monitoring (PImon) when using content based routing and the receiver is not found.

The only place where the message is visible is as an error in the channel monitor. This is different from the normal idoc adapter.

Is it normal behavior that the message is not accepted in the system? It makes monitoring and error solving more difficult.

Thanks

Tom

Hi,

Since you are using Advance Adapter engine, which resides on JAVA stack. The message will not be seen in PI Moni, as it is on ABAP stack. Monitoring in case of AAE is done through Runtime workbench only.

Hi Pooja,

To be honest I think it is the other way around, RWB is for ABAP and pimon is for JAVA.

Additional information is that we run PI 7.3 dual stack but we try to set-up messages JAVA only when possible.

Actually Pooja is right. I am also working on 7.3 using only AAE adapters. You will not be able to monitor messages through sxmb_moni. These can be monitored only through Message Monitoring in RWB. Even if you try sending a message from Integration Engine from the test message tab in RWB Component Monitoring, it will fail while looking for a receiver agreement. If it is failed in the channel itself, it will give you the reason in the log of the channel & will not show it the message monitoring as well

Hi

It may be 7.1 or 7.3 for any AAE messages follow the below procedure for monitoring

RWB-->Message Monitoring-->AdpaterENgine-->Database-->Give Filtering criteria
