Hi,
We are creating an automatic import procedure for records into MDM.
We need to add all new records to exsisting Masks.
Is there a way of managing this automatically?
In the import process or maybe after the records have been imported?
Thanks.
KR,
Thomas
Hello Thomas
Mask are static, and cannot be updated automatically
you need to manually add the records to the mask.
can you explain what kind of records the Mask contains? I mean what is the criteria which is to be met to include in records in the created Mask?
Try using a Named search, then the records will be automatically added to the Named search and will be visible to the user's.

Hi Thomas,
Mask is static that is evrytime a record falling into criteria for mask has to be added manualy to mask.
Instaed you can use Named Search which is dynamic in nature.
It is created same way you create mask.
Once you set Named search for record ,next time whenever you import or add or update record in MDM and if the record satifies Named search condition it will automatically be added to Named Search.

Hi Thomas,
Masks cannot be automated.
Somebody has to add the record to the mask manually.
Instead use Named searches.
create a search and save it as a named search in the data manager and assign this named search to the user you want.
When ever a record is added to the search criteria, the record will be automatically added to the named search and the user will be able to see the valid records.
Hope it solves the purpose.

Sravan
