Attachments to the historical EIC Activities

Hi Experts,

I have an issue please help me to resolve.

When we initially gone live with EIC; due to some technical issues they didn't provided attachment functionality. Recently we have provided attachment functionality.

Now the customer wants to upload attachments to all the historical activities. I came to know that all attachments are uploaded to Content Server.

Can anyone please help me out -

1. how to view the files in content server, such that I can know what naming conventions SAP is using to save the files.

2. How to link the activities to the files uploaded to content server.

Appreciate your help....

Thanks in Advance,

Sreenivasulu Nallani.

Hello Sreenivasulu,

EIC uses the case management framework to store all EIC related information including attachments (which typically get stored using the content server connection).

There is no naming convention for attachment data. SAP uses a "GUID" as a key for storing the documents and the GUID is linked to the EIC activity via case management.

The best approach for you is to trace the SAP standard EIC application which uses the case management API functions to upload the attachments.
