Hi,

Did you really create the new client by copying an other one ?

If you just used SCC4, you have just created the name of a new client which does not yet exist...

Which user ID and client you used while creating new entry in SCC4??

Check your SAP profile with instace profile file includes parameter : login/no_automatic_user_sapstar =0

then it will allow SAP to login to new client via SAP* and PASS

Also while login to new client , what error message you get ?

-User id/password in corrected .....that means SAP* login is disabled

- no client exist : that means new client entry is not created in SCC4

Hi Rupali,

I used the DDIC to create the client ... also I used SAP* and created another client ... but still I'm not able to login to the created client ...

I have checked the SAP profile and the parameters is already shown as 0

and I got the below error message while login to the new client ..

Error message: name or password is incorrect (repet login) ..

Pls advice ..

Hi,

delete SAP* from OS level and then try log in with SAP* and PASS.

also try this at SQL prompt

select MANDT from SAPSR3.USR02;

this will show you the clients available in your system.(this could be a huge statement if you have too many clients)

if the client you created available then delete SAP* and log in.

delete from SAPSR3.USR02 where MANDT='XXX' and BNAME='SAP*';

Hi maab1982,

i think the installation guide should have more information regarding this.

here is the Procedure:

1. Maintain the new client with transaction SCC4.

2. Activate kernel user SAP*:

a) Set the profile parameter "login/no_automatic_user_sapstar" to 0.

b) Restart the application server.

3. Log on to the new client with kernel user SAP* and password PASS.

4. Copy the client with transaction SCCL and profile SAP_CUST.

5. Check the log files with transaction SCC3.

6. Create the required users. These users must have at least the

authorizations required for user administration and system

administration. Create a user SAP* with all required authorizations

for this user. If you want to have other users for system

administration, you can also create user SAP* without authorizations.

7. Deactivate kernel user SAP*:

a) Reset the profile parameter "login/no_automatic_user_sapstar" to 1.

b) Restart the application server.
