Upgrading SRM-MDM catalog 2.0 in SRM 5.5

Hi,

We currently have SRM 5.5 running SRM-MDM catalog 2.0. I would like to know if it is possible to upgrade to SRM-MDM catalog 3.0 without upgrading the rest of SRM. we are planning to do the SRM 5.5 to SRM 7 upgrade in approx 18 months but am worried about MDM 5.5 going EOL next year.. does this also mean that SRM-MDM catalog 2.0 will no longer be supported as it is based on MDM 5.5??

Hi,

There are 2 version of SRM-MDM Catalog 3.0:

1. SRM-MDM Catalog 3.0 MDM 7.1

2. SRM-MDM Service catalog 3.0 MDM 7.1.

You can implement SRM-MDM Catalog 3.0 MDM 7.1 with SRM 5.0.

But for SRM-MDM Service catalog 3.0 MDM 7.1 you need to have at least SRM 7.0 & onwards.

So as you said you will update to SRM 7.0 you can go with SRM-MDM Service catalog 3.0 MDM 7.1.

Actually SRM-MDM Service catalog 3.0 MDM 7.1 has very powerful features for service procurement.

hi

MDM Services Catalog have hierarchies for SERVICIES. this hierarchy is very diferent to another.

MDM Catalog show the information with other hierarchies, but, no the Services hierarchy.

MDM Services catalog only work with SRM7.0

Can you upgrade to SRM 7.0 but keep MDM 2.0 catalog?

It's very much possible to upgrade to SRM 7.0 kepping SRM-MDM Catalog 2.0.
