Lock of Partner Data in Posting Term & how to maintain another Customer

Hi,

I have the following requirement.

A Contract is created for a tenant for a period. After some there is a changeover where a new main contractual partner takes over the contract and all rights and duties of the old main contractual partner.

In the Change Contract screen we are trying to end the relation ship of the old tenent with the contract and lock him and create another postings with the new tenent with no success.

Is there any way out?

Hi,

This is common requirement and standard way is available.

Add new partner in contract, create time dependent posting term and select new partner for new period.

ex.: posting term 10 validity 01/04/10 to 31/03/11 - partner x

validity 01/04/11 to 31/03/12 - partner y
