Solution Manager 7.1 + IE9 - solman_workcenter can not be displayed

Hello colleagues,

we just installed new SolMan 7.1. When I want to use SOLMAN_WORKCENTER transaction from my laptop with Windows 7 + Internet Explorer 9, screen is empty (web page can not be displayed). On the other hand there is no problem via laptop with Windows Vista + Internet Explorer 8. SolMan path level SAP_BASIS is SAPKB70209, my SAPGui 720 patch level 10 so there should be no problem.

Hi Josef

Please use another browser version (Firefox or IE 8). There may be incompatibility issues with IE 9 (as described in SAP

So only above are supported. No its not supported for IE 9.0

Hi Vikram,

thank you for your support. I have uninstalled IE9 and installed IE8 for Win7 x64 (by the way - I had to contact Microsoft support because IE8 for Win7 is not oficially available now). I added relevant URL as trusted server. Unfortunately, it is still not solved.

Hi Josef,

I have windows 7 + Solman 7.1 and its working perfectly. If its working fine on your one system and not working for another so seems like your PC issue. Check on another Windows 7 PC with IE 8 and you will find it works perfect.

Problem is solved now. My colleague Pavel Prochazka found that.

One other step was missing - IP address translation. It was necessary to add to C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\hosts for example 192.168.20.5 consap2.consit.local

Apart from that our server http://consap2.consit.local must be specied in IE as trusted server.
