Purchasing Group for follow-on document missing

Hello Gurus,

We are currently using SRM 7, classic scenario. We have enabled approvers to edit shopping carts during approval, and they are able to edit the current lines on the shopping cart. However if they try to add a new line to the shopping cart they get an error "Purchasing Group for follow-on document missing". This message only comes up when an approver tries to add a new line to shopping cart during workflow approval, but does not come up during initial shopping cart creation. Any config steps need to be done here??

Hi,

Perform following checks in the system:

1. Have you defined SRM system as a "Local" system? Path: SPRO > Define Backend System

2. Check to which PurOrg & PurGroup users are assigned. Initially data has been fetched from OrgStructure. To check OrgStructure health use Txn USERS_GEN.

3. Set an external breakpoint in FM BBP_PD_MSG_ADD and check why system has thrown this message.

By checking the call stack you can see which setting is missing in your system.
