Afaria Outbound Notification for Blackberry

Hi,

I configured SMTP to send outbound notification from Afaria to BB device, when i recieve the email the format is like

@#!AfariaWkr+/aX3Gurbr6A6P6VyaFefV5EqQ3FsWsMd4OQTras=kz7w:-20

Kindly guide do i need to do any configuration.

Hi Praveen,

For BlackBerry you need to configure SMS Gateway.

I configured SMS gateway in Afaria Server but the SMPP online status displays as "FALSE".

Can you let me know do i need to configure any thing additional.

Hi Carlos,

As Praveen suggested, you can use SMTP to send outbound notifications to BB devices. You could use the phone number in an email format to send text messages.

Hi Raghu,

I assume you have access to Frontline and Afaria guides etc. You should be able to get a good grip out of the documentation available on Frontline.

Here is a Pre-Requisite document (prepared for 6.6 FP1, currently being updated for 7) that you can use as a reference to get some ideas around what is needed for a functioning Afaria landscape.
