No SDM Export in cluster-environment (windows)

Hi,

we have this very bad problem.

We have a rather old double-stack system, NW 7.0, double-stack on 32bit Windows 2003 Cluster. It's the last system with this configuration, DEV and QA is allready migrated to 64bit Windows 2008. But they where single server installations and we had no problem exporting and importing ABAP and JAVA.

On the cluster we have this configuration:

physical nodes: a11s1 + a11s2, dialoginstance each

virtual cluster resources: a11ap1 with CI and a11db for database

running JAVA 1.4.2_13

SDM is running on a11s1

While exporting the database we have a complete ABAP export and a complete JAVA export - but no SDM! The SAPInst tells us, that SDM is going to be exported, but nothing happens. SAPInst says "successfull!", no errors, nothing.

While exporting CI instance I got the following directories created:

ABAP

--DATA

--DB

--label.asc

JAVA

--DB

--JDMP

--TOOLS

--label.asc

--labelidx.asc

--source.properties

I was connected at the CI and called SPInst with parameter SAPINST_USE_HOSTNAME=<dbhost>

At this time it's impossible to import this in the new system cause the import is waiting for the SDM-export.

We read note 1556874 but no effect.

maybe somebody had the same problem and found a solution?

Thanks in advance!

Regards

Martin

Hi Martin,

SDM would not be exported while exporting the DB but during CI export.

Please run the sapinst on the host where the CI is running, but without setting any SAPINSt_USE_HOSTNAME parameter.
