Hi
We definitely do not want to loose our Version Management and/or Transport History during our upgrade from 4.7 to ECC 6.0
Is it possible to keep the Version Management and Transport History? Can this be imported and applied to ECC 6.0 client after/during upgrade?
Please advise.
Thank you and best regards,
Adrian

Hi Adrian,
During SAP Version upgrade neither the object version nor the transport history is lost unless you change the physical server from existing to new one.
In case you perform system copy and want to retain the version database and transport history , you may refer SAP note 130906

Hi Adrian,
The modification adjustment of the ABAP Dictionary objects is performed before downtime. This
is possible since the complete version management is available in the shadow system.
Even the upgrade guide details this.
Also, for your information, please check the SAP Note
130906 How can versions be transported
Hope this helps.

Sriram
