Hi,

I think you wont get configuration specific to regions or client.

It depends on the industry, business process and requirements of the client.

Please go through the below thread and links available (ppt, building blocks ect) you will get idea.

Hi Hari,DB49,

Thanks for your inputs. I have awarded points for both of you.

Basically i am looking for list of QM Global Configurations. For example configuration of "Define defect classes" and "Define catalogue types" are Global configurations as they are defined with out specific plant and hence any region/client/any plants can use these 2 configurations.

Anyhow thanks for your inputs.

Thanks

Hi,

As you might have observed in QM: Most of the settings/operations/objects are at Plant level. But, it looks like: you want to get a client level settings (config) whcih are applicable to all plants. If so, that needs an elaborate explanation.

Client level settings: Creation of Basic data for QM Functions: Replacement of MIC/ Inspn Methods, ALE distribution, Multiple specs, Addl Inspn char, Multiple specs, Quality Score settings, Quality Score updation after UD, Quaity Notifications & Defects recording..

If you look at Plant level settings for QM:

MIC changes w/without history,

Inspn lot creation: Settings for lot creation, Lot Account Assignment, Sampling procedures -presettings, Characteristic weightage, Defect class etc,

Results Recording settings at plant level: Results recording settings, Freely defined inspn points, PM, Sample management, Inspn point valuation.

Inspn lot completion at plant level: Inventory postings, Automatic UD, Batch valuaton.

General Settings: Inspn lot search (duration in days)

Catalogs are at Cleint level but, Selected set codes are at Plant level. (Hence, Defect codes, locations can be set at client level)

As you can see: Master Data like MIC can be created in one plant and can also be used at other plants. Inspn plans are at Plant level, Sampling procedures, Physical Sample Drawing Procedures or Sampling schemes: at Plant level.

Inspn lot creation, processing are at plant level.

Batch creation & processing: can be at client level based on settings on Batch Management. But, generally, it is at plant/material level.

Classification is at Client level. So are the classification characteristics.

Certificate Profiles & Quality Notifications are at client level.

Thus, you have different settings in QM. Hope this helps you.
