ABAP transaction replacement in PI 7.3?

Former Member

Hello.

I'm currently using a new PI 7.3

When using integrated scenario - the ABAP section is being skipped.

Is there a replacement for old ABAP transactions like IDX5 for example?

Is there any documentation on the subject?

Thanks,

Imanuel Rahamim.

First of all, thanks.

I'll look into the PIMON a little more and see if there are more interesting things in there.

However - I still can't find something that gives the same functionality of IDX5 - meaning, give an ECC IDOC number and get the PI message ID.

Also - is there a way of searching for any message ID by the data inside?

Any other tool that can assist on the matter, or any other new tool available for the java engine only will be welcome.

Thanks again,

Imanuel Rahamim.

Hi,

Did you read those materials carefully? Here is your IDX5 replacement:

Open a browser and go to http://[host]:[port]/pimon to access the Process Integration tools. Then choose Monitoring Adapter Engine IDoc Monitor.

See here for content-based message search possibility:

Thanks again.

I have found the payload search, and will test it when I'll have the time.

about the IDX5 replacement: I have tested it, and for the scenario tested the IDOC number there is not the IDOC number in the ECC system.

I will test it for other scenarios and try to see if for other scenarios it does work.

If you know of other tool as well, or about documentation on this subject I'll be glad to know of it.

Thank you,

Imanuel Rahamim.

For some reason - when I use the advanced search of the IDOC monitoring, and insert the IDOC number - it doesn't find it....

when I search without limitations - it says that the number is 25, when in the ECC it's: 1508089

on the other hand - when I search for all the messages from today - it finds the message, and there the IDOC number is indeed 1508089, so I can filter by the number and find it only after selecting all of the messages....

Am I doing something wrong in the advanced search?

Dear Immanuel,

Regarding that difference in IDoc number - this issue also appeared in IDX5 in "standard" IDoc adapter. It is just like for the receiver IDoc scenario, you can see the IDoc number assigned by PI there. However, this IDoc gets a different number when it comes into the target system. In IDX5, there was a nice trick to find out the receiver system's IDoc number, but I don't know of one for the new IDOC_AAE adapter.

Hope this helps,

Greg
